The Red Lion is a play about a our obsession with the beautiful game and how it has the capacity to destroy us and our relationships. It is set in the dressing room of a struggling lower division Northern League football club.

The play transferred to the Trafalgar Studios in November 2017.

The atmosphere is helped in no small measure by the appearance and smell of "Patrick Connellan’s superb changing room set which would not be out of place in virtually any small club."
